Description

Chassis stiffness is an often an overlooked aspect of performance that can be easily improved with a simple bolt-on brace. However, not all braces and bars are created equal.

We run our 10th Generation Civics on the street and track all the time. It's obvious to us that the cars could benefit from increased chassis stiffness. We knew we had to find a way to REDEFINE the Front Strut Tower Brace (FSTB) for this awesome community.

Performance, aesthetics, and additional bracing improve driver feedback and define the 27WON FSTB for all 10th Gen Civics… Type R, SI, and Base models alike.

Available in addition to the FSTB as an upgrade or for purchase later is our billet aluminum master cylinder brake brace. The 27WON brake brace is designed to bolt on directly to your performance strut tower bar and press against the brakes master cylinder. The purpose of this is to reduce the flex of your master cylinder on the firewall.

By adding the brake brace you will reduce the movement of your brake master cylinder which will result in a more solid pedal feel and more consistent feedback when on track or under hard braking. This upgrade is a must-have for anyone looking to push the car's on-track performance.

Available in two versions, we have a Brake Brace for your particular Honda Civic.

  • Select (sedan & coupes-only) to get the correct brace to attach to your 2016+ Honda Civic, SI and other 1.5T 4-door and 2-door models. will not fit NA 2.0L models
  • Select (hatchback-only) to get the brace for your Civic Type R and all 5-door hatchback models 2016+.

There are two common design approaches for strut tower braces in the industry today: Bolted End-plates and Fixed End-plates.


Bolted end-plate designs allow for the use of different materials for the cross bar and the end-plates and are much easier to design and manufacture. However, the design has a weak point. The bolted connection between the cross bar and end-plates compromises rigidity. In single bolt connections the rigidity (buckling strength) of the brace is compromised by a factor of 4!

Fixed end-plate designs feature single material construction. This results in a more complex manufacturing method but the result is a design that is 4 times stronger than a similar bolted end-plate design.

Utilizing a one-piece design with a goal for superior strength and slim profile, steel construction was the ideal choice. Thick-walled dual tubes are welded to the tower plates utilizing center cylinder construction to provide a robust chassis brace.

All of our bars are finished off in powder-coat for durability and a sleek look.

You know if its a 27WON upgrade then we need to offer it up in some 27WON style. You can acquire this bar in either a Wrinkle Black powdercoat or in our Signature Orange powdercoat. Which ever option you choose you will be adding some bonus style points under the hood.

Grabbed the orange FSTB with brake support...couldn't be happier! Could immediately feel the difference after install! Not to mention, it looks nice too!
Great upgrade! The 27Won strut tower bar is also probably the most ridged and stiffest bar you can get for our cars. I definitely felt a difference over my 1 piece ultra racing strut tower bar, which was also a very great strut tower bar.

In addition, the master cylinder brake brace also really helped the braking feel! What a great combo!

Make sure to get both! So worth it!
FSTB with brake support FANTASTIC product
FSTB made a huge difference in minimizing the feeling of dead play in the steering. Before the install, it was hard to feel how much steering input was needed when going through mid speed curvy roads. Front end feels more planted and stable when driving along undulating and bumpy roads. I sense the spring and dampers are actually doing the proper job now after the install. Thank you 27WON.
Fantastic FSTB! Super easy install, looks fantastic, incredibility sturdy. Single piece design is the only way to go. You have plenty of clearance for the battery or any rear mount add-ons. Plus the brake master cylinder brace... oh man!

That master cylinder brace is the main reason to get this FSTB. It makes a HUGE difference in pedal under heavy braking. You'll be more confident, and the car will be more stable. It's a night and day difference. Have a friend pump your brakes while you watch the cylinder, it's crazy how much it moves! This brace fixes that completely.
One of the best things with 27WON is their customer service! This came in right in time as requested. Thanks Vincent and Vlad!
There are multiple reasons why I purchased the 27Won front strut tower bar. First being that 27won does their homework on what they build and don't spit out a product and slap their name on it. They know the difference between made for your car and made to fit your car.

The second reason is because of the FSTB design, it's one piece with twin bars. Absolutely sturdy and creates stability in long sweeping corners and a tight hairpin, you can feel it and know it's there. The open ends are great as I plan to drop in an electronic dampening controller.

Third reason...that orange is fire, but mainly because I got the master cyl brake brace to go with it.

To sum it all up I have had 3 piece bars that flex too much, they're a lazy design that relies on two small bolts and other single piece/single bars that I've had feels like its not enough and doesn't really instill much confidence.

I almost forgot...their customer service and communication is next level.

After installing +1 degree lower ball joints in the front, and pulling the alignment pins on the strut towers, I now how 1.2 degrees front camber, and UHP All-Season tires for 1.2G's of corner grip. The difference between not having the FSTB and having one is obvious. I autocross my Civic and can feel the responsiveness. It adds more confidence, but I don't think it helped lower my time. If you don't have grip and you are not hitting corners hard, the stock stiffness is fine without the bar. Worth the money and easy to install if you plan to corner the car.

Just got this FSTB on signature orange and looks so nice in my car. Easy to install fitment was awesome. 27w0N make some of the best aftermarket stuff Can’t wait to get more 27won stuff.
