What’s Shipping Protection?

It’s peace of mind for your build. Shipping Protection is an optional add-on at checkout that’s got your back if your order ever gets lost or stolen on its way to you. With one click, you’re covered—no headaches, no chasing carriers.

Why add it?

Because stuff happens. Packages can disappear off porches or go MIA in transit. Shipping Protection means we’ll send out replacement parts quickly so you can get back to wrenching, not waiting.

How much does it cost?

Just a few bucks. The price is a small percentage of your order total and shows up automatically at checkout. You’ll see it before you hit the “Place Order” button.

What’s covered?
  • Lost packages – when your tracking stops moving for an extended period of time or your package shows "delivered", but not found
  • Stolen packages – When your package is simply not where it was intended to be delivered or if you're targeted by porch pirates

Note: Covered claims are sent replacement parts. Refunds are not provided. Stolen packages may require additional validation steps.

What’s not covered?
  • Late or delayed deliveries
  • Orders with incorrect shipping addresses
  • Packages stuck at customs or refused at delivery
When can I file a claim?

Sometimes packages are delayed due to weather, carrier issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. For that reason, we ask that you wait until at least 5–7 business days past the expected delivery date before submitting a claim for any "lost" package.

In many cases, the package will still arrive within this window without issue. If it hasn’t shown up after that time, you can move forward with a claim through our Shipping Protection Claim Form. If you suspect your package may have been stolen, you may file a claim right away

How do I file a claim?

Don’t carriers already cover this?

Technically, yes. But filing a claim with them can take weeks or even months, with forms and back-and-forth. Plus, once a carrier issues a response it’s a final determination with no further recourse if they don't accept your claim. Our Shipping Protection is faster, cleaner, and keeps you focused on the next mod instead of paperwork.

Can I skip it?

Yep—Shipping Protection is optional. If you’d rather roll the dice, you can leave it off at checkout. We’ll always try to help, but without Shipping Protection, we can’t guarantee replacement parts if your package gets lost or stolen. At that point, your only option is to file directly with the carrier and hope they cover the loss. They often don’t—especially for packages marked as “delivered” or “released.”

Anything else I should know?

Yes!

  • If your claim for Shipping Protection is approved by us, you won't be eligible for reimbursement through the shipping carrier. NO DOUBLE DIPPING, FAM!
  • If your claim is approved and you package miraculously pops up after, we'll ask that you kindly use the provided prepaid shipping label in your replacement order to ship back the parts you received
  • Another note we have to include is if you have a history of claims for Shipping Protection, we may at our sole discretion cancel and refund your most recent orders cost for this service and deny new claims. We don't like doing this, but we have to protect the integrity of this service and limit abuse of the system
