In the midst of power upgrades becoming more prevalent; it is easy to focus on horsepower and torque figures. However, your numbers don’t mean much if you can’t get the power to the ground effectively.

Enter the Rear Motor Mount…the performance part you didn’t know you needed.

100% of the power your Honda Civics' engine creates must be applied to the axles/wheels/tires to get them rolling and your Civic moving; but what holds the engine in place? The rear engine mount (along with the other two mounts) have the demanding job of keeping the engine in your Civic SI in-place. Unfortunately, the OE engine mount quickly loses effectiveness as the engine power output increases.

If you find yourself fighting for traction and would like to improve throttle response then look no further, the 27WON Performance Rear Engine Mount is the performance upgrade just for you.

27won redefine design subheadline

Compared to OE and other options on the market you may notice something is missing…or is it? With our design less is more; which is why our mount utilizes only one polyurethane isolated mounting point.

The mounting point between engine and RMM has a primary motion and secondary motion.

  • Primary = rotational
  • Secondary = up/down

  • The polyurethane mounting point on the engine reduces the primary rotational movement of the engine while still allowing a small amount of movement due to the polyurethane compressing.

The rigid mounting point connected to the chassis sub-frame eliminates the up/down motion that the engine follows while the engine rotates. This eliminates associated secondary vibration and thus reduces NVH. Check out the blogs below for more details.

27won design strength subheadline

In an effort to reduce weight and maintain strength, the 27WON Performance RMM utilizes an “I-Beam” style design (very similar to high performance connecting rods) to connect the two mounting points. This design provides a reduction in weight without a significant sacrifice in tensile and compressive strength. The weight savings add up to ~1/2 lb vs OE.

27won durometer hardness subheadline

A noticeable bump up in performance (street) or leave it all on the track (race). The 27WON engine mount is available with 2 options for durometer hardness so you can select a mount that best suits your driving profile. Our 70A street gives a big drop in torque steer while being more civil in regards to NVH as compared to our 90A race. Our 90A race mount is for for those who put outright performance over comfort and can accept the extra NVH that gives them maximum performance.

high quality materials subheadline

The steel sleeve within the polyurethane pucks is manufactured from 303 stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance. The twin poly bushings are custom molded from a proprietary polyurethane blend. This material is chosen because it offers excellent performance in dynamic loading, shock absorption, and water environment, the exact conditions your engine mount will be subjected to.

27won billet or cast subheadline

The body of the 27WON Race RMM is manufactured from two types of material depending on your choice. 6061-T6 billet aluminum for superior strength and weight or die-cast aluminum for a more budget friendly version. Both versions utilize our same CAD design to ensure a mount that will perform for your 10th gen Honda Civic.

NVH subheadline

Noise, Vibration, & Harshness (NVH) is an evaluation of the various irritants that can be transmitted through the vehicle into the cabin and directly to the driver and passengers. OE engineers and designers spend countless hours reducing/eliminating NVH from vehicles, however, this sometimes comes with a compromise in performance and vehicle feedback. Not all NVH is created equal, an OE designer may consider turbo noise to be unwanted NVH, whereas a performance enthusiast may consider it a desired sound.

At 27WON when designing performance parts that may affect the vehicles NVH we strive to find the right balance of performance improvement and NVH increase. Ideally, we are able to create a performance part that does not affect NVH, but that is not always the case. Examples are exhaust systems, intake systems, engine mounts, suspension components…etc.

With the addition of a 27WON performance engine mount increased NVH will be an inherent part of the upgrade. While we do our absolute best to deliver a mount that works great and feels amazing some customers may find the higher levels of NVH to be too great. It is our guarantee that 100% of customers will love this mount. If for any reason you have any concerns with the mount simply reach out to us and our team will be sure to find a solution that works for you.

Installing Your Performance Rear Engine Mount

Awesome product.
Reduced wheel hope a lot.
Makes it easier to shift because leaving the rpm a little higher while off the gas pedal while shifting. Very little NVH added. But it’s worth it.
I just installed this bad boy and let me tell you guys it really really does the job !! Hands down for this mod and all the 27Won team and products .. I currently in the transition to switch all most of my mods to 27Won bcuz besides the fact the are stylish they are a really great products keep it up guys !!!
What a difference the 70A has made in my car. The NVH after install is totally acceptable, and has already started to calm down after 400 km. I’m new to modding, and I was so thankful for the spectacular directions. Everything went according to plan, no hiccups, and I’m thrilled with the added acceleration and stiff shifts after the install.
A rather small purchase for a huge difference in attitude!

Installed the 90A Billet mount on my '20 Si about 4 months ago. NHV immediately after install were very prominent, however after a couple hundred miles it has calmed down to a more than acceptable level. It makes engine noise way more noticeable in the cabin, making it a great purchase for someone just wanting to hear their engine while driving without buying an exhaust. Also using my own rickety rigging of my gopro I got some pretty good video of how much less the engine and trans shift around between Full Send gear changes. That alone makes it worth it. Wheel hop is significantly improve albeit not completely eradicated. In the dry I have yet to experience any wheel hop. However in the wet if you're just accelerating hard and the wheels get to losing traction I sometimes do get some wheel hop.

The only warning I feel is worth mentioning is that, with the billet mount and because it's solid on the subframe side, between 1k and about 2k the vibration gets very excessive when in gear and under anymore than light acceleration.

That being said I would still say I am fully satisfied with this mount and will encourage anyone who wants a better interior engine note to buy it. I imagine that the 70A will solve the 1k-2k vibration since It has rubber bushings on both sides but I can't confirm it. Either way I feel this mount is a great compliment to any current build, and an even better starting point for a new build.
Totally transforms the car and well worth it! Highly recommend.
if you are looking for a solid engine feel with very mild cabin vibrations, 70A street Cast is a must !! extremely happy with this RMM for daily driving!
10/10. Got the 70A and it’s perfect. I drive 110ish miles a day and it’s super smooth. It’s a must buy IMO.
If you want to transform your car into a real drivers car, you'll want to get this. Starting my CTR now feels like my old Camaro SS did - it really shakes the car on startup, which I just love. Vibrations when downshifting and engine braking to a stop can get a bit intense, but to me that's a feature :) If you want to feel more connected to the car in every way, you'll love it. If you want to keep your car a comfortable people hauler, obviously don't do it. I daily drive my FBO CTR with this mount and love driving it every day. Is it a bit harsh and loud? Yeah, duh. Does it drive like a racecar and fun as hell? Yep.
Waited for the 70A and couldn't be happier! Fitment was fantastic, and install process was simple! Do be advised, if you have the 27WON exhaust for the FK8 you WILL need to remove the front pipe and/or pull it out of the way to install this!
Great product very well built. Totally changes the experience driving the car, you’re a lot more connected. vibrations and noise are rough at first but give it 500 miles it’ll smoothen out.
