On your 11th generation Honda Civic and 5th gen Integra your brake master cylinder is attached to the brake booster which is attached to a thin firewall.

When you push hard on the brake pedal, whether in an emergency situation or in competition driving, the forces your foot generates makes the firewall flex which in turn makes the master cylinder move. This unwanted movement causes a delay in how quickly the brakes respond and gives a lazy feel and poor feedback to the driver.

Our Master Cylinder Brake Brace attaches to our solid 1-piece Front Strut Tower Bar and gives support to the brake master cylinder. This in turn removes unwanted flex from the pedal. It not only gives better feeling but it is safer on the track, when milliseconds of reaction time can mean all the difference. The 27WON Front Strut Tower Bar for the 11th generation Civic and 5th gen Integra has already proven to be the most popular and versatile bar for the 2022+ family of sedans and hatchbacks. We knew we needed to make a bar that not only looked amazing under the hood of your CivicXI, but also performed like no other. The 27WON Brake Brace upgrade is the evolution in making the best even better.

Gain confidence in your braking and trust that you have what it takes to optimize every lap and gain every second back.

Made in the USA from billet aluminum and machined to precision, our brace is an easy bolt-on piece. The brace is then finished off in a textured black powder coat for a simple stealth look that won't fade. It comes with the necessary hardware to complete install.

Why you need a brake brace: Stop The Flex

  • Will not work on RHD fitment vehicles
  • Product requires 27WON FSTB
  • Master Cylinder Brake Brace will not work with 2.0NA engines that have aftermarket intakes fitted

You might be wondering what exactly is a Master Cylinder Brake Brace and how does it work?

The brake master cylinder on your 2022+ Civic Sedan or Hatch and 23+ Integra is a cast metal tube with a plastic reservoir on top full of brake fluid. Its purpose is to use the brake fluid to generate pressure to the brake calipers on all 4 corners of your Civic/Integra to slow the car down. This master cylinder connects to your foot through a series of links that amplify the force from your foot.

Unfortunately the master cylinder is secured to your firewall (a very thin section of sheet metal that separates the passenger compartment from the engine bay). Because the firewall is pretty flimsy, when you hit hard on the pedal it actually bends and flexes a bit. As a result, the time from when you hit the pedal to the time the pads engage is increased and pedal feel is very uninspiring.

The 27WON Brake Brace attaches to your 27WON FSTB bar with a simple set of bolts and washers to restrict the master cylinder from moving. With the brace installed, some of the energy that went to flexing the firewall now helps increase brake engagement and driver feedback. Check out the videos above to see this in action.
