Following its sibling, the 11th Gen Honda Civic Type R, Acura released the 2024+ Acura Integra Type S with an exhaust that is just too quiet for the true enthusiast. Admittedly, an active exhaust valve is in place to allow for more noise when you want it. But to what success this works to deliver a deeper sound depends on who you ask. Ask us and you’ll find we think the stock OE exhaust is still too tame and bland and that's after Acura worked their magic to make the DE5 stand out!
So, we took it upon ourselves to design and deliver a brand-new system that is worthy of the Type S. Just listen to this exhaust smack!
Looking for the highlights? Industry leading 80MM piping (3.125 inches) piping for massive power potential. A resonated midpipe for drone free motoring. Retained use of the OEM exhaust valve for increased sound in Sport+ mode or toned down cruising in Comfort. Best of all, we kept true to the ethos of 27WON and did not skimp on the small details so you get thick 3 bolt flanges at each connection point and drop in fitment with all the hardware you’ll need for the right install the first time. You have the option to purchase this system as a catback or as a full turboback once again cementing 27WON as the only brand on the market putting forward a complete exhaust from turbo to tip.
Results? You’re looking at a dyno plot below of a 100% stock FL5, the DE5’s sibling, on our Dynapack dyno before and after install of our catback exhaust system so you can get a frame of reference of what sort of gains we’re talking about here.
Peak WHP improved +6 and peak torque went up +8. But, that’s only part of the story. Check out the spread between 2000 and 3750 RPM. We saw massive gains of close to 20WHP in this area! That’s the grunt you feel on your butt dyno all day every day. What about the top end you say? Well, look at the 5500+RPM range. The 27WON exhaust simply runs away from the OEM exhaust here on its way to delivering a gain of +17WHP, that you can expect from both our FL5 and DE5 versions of the exhaust. With custom tuning you’ll eek out even more gains. And remember this is just the catback. Add in a downpipe and the gains are going to be even that much better!
What would a Type S be without its signature triple tip design? We elected to stay true to the spirit of the OE design with a 3 tip exhaust. Featuring 3 equally sized and spaced tips that measure just under 4.5 inches in diameter.
These sit nice and tight to the rear diffuser without any poke.
Each tip is a polished 304SS dual-wall design that really complements your Integra Type S. Bold, aggressive, beautiful, and luxurious. They’ll hear and see you coming down the block and stare in awe when you pull up to your next meet.
We went back to our roots a bit and brought out our upsized 3.125 (80MM) piping as we knew this size was unique and it just flat out works well. It’s bigger than 99% of exhausts out there. It delivers exceptional flow capabilities and it looks great in our brushed finish.

Here’s the lowdown. You get to keep the OEM valve functionality that opens and closes the middle section of the axle-back for added loudness when you want it and a softer tone when you don’t. It’s the best of both worlds. Pop your DE5 into Comfort and cruise all day or snap it onto Sport+ and feel all the thunder of this system.
Resonated for the perfect sound. After extensive testing to find the best tone possible, the team all agreed a resonator placed on the exhaust’s forward mid-pipe just like the OEM unit was the way forward. This resonator reduces even more unwanted drone leaving you with a nice deep, rasp free exhaust note. All at the volume a tuner would love, while still staying at a level your neighbors won’t hate.
Make the tough call! Do you want all the sauce? Opt for the full turboback which includes a downpipe (with a $49.99 automatic discount). Want to keep things a bit simpler? Opt for just the catback to still get you that sweet upgraded sound and you can always loop back to the downpipe later.
This 27WON exhaust system comes with a full 80mm frontpipe no matter which version you go with . We found it important to maximize the benefit of an upgraded exhaust and you achieve this by removing as much of the restrictive stock exhaust as possible. That means a full replacement frontpipe is included with every system.
