The Team at 27WON Performance believes the first available Civic Type R stateside deserves an exhaust without compromises. No drone filled cabin, no raspy wide open throttle, no slip fit joints. A TRUE larger than 3” exhaust system without restrictions.

We did just that by combining the best features and materials to create the most unique performance exhaust for the 2017+ Honda Civic Type R. Our design is about performance and exhaust note with zero compromises. Our unique catback system combines three resonator styles to create an exhaust system that growls when you mash the throttle but purrs during the drive to work and long road trips.

The 27WON exhaust system is also the only system with no neck downs. This means 3+ inch from end to end which results in the the absolute most free-flowing exhaust you can get for your turbocharged K20C1.

The single oval resonator features two designs inside; an absorption resonator and expansion chamber resonator. These act to remove low and high frequencies and allow the exhaust gases to pass straight through.

The curly pipes on the side have a very specific task: to cancel out unwanted drone at specific engine RPM ranges. The two pipes each affect a specific RPM window; ~2900rpm and ~4000rpm. These points had excessive drone in the Type R that we wanted to get rid of. These side-branch resonators do not affect power or peak volume output. They only serve to cancel out specific unwanted frequencies that create that awful in-cabin drone.

Increased flow is always a key to enhancing the performance of your engine. We increased the exhaust piping diameter from 2inch up to 3.125inch (80mm) to increase maximum exhaust flow and power. This results in 78% increase in cross-sectional area to support future power modifications.

What’s a performance exhaust without power? Over a 7 run average compared to the OEM exhaust, we saw a peak increase of 16wTq and 11wHp with a measurable gain over the majority of the power curve. We are confident we got all the power to be had from an FK8 exhaust system.



Every exhaust has connections and how these connections are made varies from basic leaky slip joints to the best option, v-band flanges. Every connection except to the downpipe utilizes a precision-machined v-band flange connection. Why?

V-bands give durable and reliable sealing with lightweight construction compared to thick bolted flanges. Additionally, there is no gasket to degrade or lose. This is just another way we REDEFINE.

There are absolutely no compromises with the 27WON Performance Exhaust, not even the hardware and accessories. Every exhaust system comes with stainless steel t-bolt clamps and multi-layer SS gaskets where needed.

The Type R signature triple tip design was honored with the 27WON Performance Exhaust, but with a twist of REDEFINE. Instead of a smaller center tip, we opted to make the center tip the focal point with a diameter of 112mm (4.40inches) and a 100mm (3.90inches) tip to either side.

Adding a level of performance and sophistication, each tip is a polished 304SS dual-wall design that really complements your Civic Type R.

A critical design element we would not compromise on was the connection between the front-pipe and the remaining exhaust. The OE necks down to 50.5mm (2inches) here and many performance exhausts on the market do the same.

Our exhaust maintains a true 3.125" inches (80mm) from the downpipe to the tips with our included frontpipe.

So....where to start!? Excellent customer service, that's where we're going to start! These folks are flat out amazing! I reached out on IG on June 22nd at 3:30PM, placed the order that day around 6PM! They had it shipped out to me the following day and it made it to my doorstep in 2 days!
Let's talk about the exhaust itself! This thing is so nicely done its not even funny! From the front pipe all the way to the triple tip finish! It complements the look of the car! Its an absolute work of art! Absolute shame that its hidden under the car! It sounds amazing as well! Granted I have barely had it on the car for a week but the sound is amazing! It is nice and quiet when you're cruising and it gets loud when you get on the throttle! The sound is nice and deep, no drone, no rasp, nothing! It is extremely unique and that's one of the things I love about it! I had my dealership help me with the installation and they were amazed with the fitment and the quality, sound and how easy it was to install. They loved the detailed instructions and it made it for an extremely painless process to get it done!
I look forward to getting my hands on more products from 27Won! Looking at that intercooler!
Loved the look and the welds are amazing!!!! The sound is great not annoying and loud like I seen with other exhaust. When on the hwy the car is quiet like before, quiet when at a stop until you step on the gas. The fitment I would give a 4.5. The rear of the exhaust tips with the bracket they provided, it sits close to the holding pin under the car so it is creating a rattle when going down hills or hard accelerations. Will be trimming a few things under the car so it wont rattle anymore but I still highly recommend this exhaust. I may have installed it incorrectly but all the pieces still perfect so I do not know what else would cause it to be that close. A true 3in all the way through! Recommend installing with a lift, I did it with jack stands but it was a pain getting the front pipe out with limited clearance.
One of the best exhaust out for the fk8 imo, the vbands, the welds, the craftsmanship of this exhaust is A1 very happy with this exhaust installing was a breeze with the vbands, everything lined up nice and perfect, the sound is amazingggg I love it, sounds like no other exhaust out for the CTR , worth every penny and very fast shipping!
This FK8 exhaust is definitely 100% worth the wait and it’s worth every penny fitment is phenomenal just after installing the front pipe in the mid with the resonator and then installing the rear exhaust section the center section with no hangers perfectly fit in without a second set of hands to install it.
I was amazed how easy it was to install even in my garage with jack stands. The V band clamps are awesome and is a work of art underneath the FK8, it is a shame that no one can see it unless you crawl underneath the car or have a set of mirrors I’m very excited to show this off during the next round of car shows here in the state of Washington and I highly complement 27WON on the sound and pure excellence on this exhaust fantastic job and can’t wait to see the inner cooler
