Our unique airbox design pulls cool ambient air from the fender well just like a typical CAI system, but without all the negatives of locating the air filter in the fender well. No more worrying about hydro-locking or tedious filter maintenance.

With the unique airbox design, accessing the air filter is a quick and easy process, because the air filter is now located up high in the engine bay just behind the black tint cover, Standard maintenance is now a simple task without the need to jack the car up and remove any fender liner to access the filter.

There are no compromises with the 27WON Cold Air Intake, not even the hardware and accessories. All hardware, brackets and T-Bolt clamps are manufactured from stainless steel. Yes, we said T-Bolt clamps…no worm gear clamps here.

What's a Cold Air Box without the data to back it up? Here you see the intake air temperature measured at the MAF sensor for the OE intake system vs the 27WON Cold Air Intake System. Not only is there a difference of nearly 15 degrees F, but the 27WON CAI also increases to source cooler air as the vehicle speed increases.

27won advisory graphic
  • Installation of the 80mm RACE MAF will require scaling of the Mass Airflow tables. It is highly suggested you contact a local tuning professional to help you perform this function. Street MAF does not require tuning
  • A Hondata Flashpro, KTuner, or stanaldone ECU is required to perform MAF scaling. It cannot be performed on a stock non-flashed ECU
  • The 27WON 80mm race MAF is designed to work with the 27WON Hybrid CAI only
  • CVT users, note the tight tolerances between the airbox and CVT oil pressure sensor during install. The sensor will abut the airbox
  • Fitment of 27WON intake with a PRL FMIC kit will have slight contact on lower portion of airbox due to FMIC pipe routing. You can place some thick tape between 27WON airbox and the PRL cold pipe to mitigate the interference. Click here for a reference image

27won fitment graphic

We understand that poor fitment and installation is frustrating, that’s why we have designed the 27WON Intake System to fit and install without issue AND does not require the modification of any OEM parts. *Will not fit CVT cars equipped with aftermarket CVT fluid coolers installed*

Make even more power with our optional 80mm Race MAF upgrade. Built with the same precision machining as our Street MAF, the larger Race version allows you to flow even more air in the pursit of more power. Learn more about why you could use this upgrade here.

***Note*** Tune is required to run Race MAF

27won air flow graphic
3d-model-intake-air-tract-for-honda-l15-engine

Smooth laminar flow is critical to get the most out of the stock size intake system. Seamless connections between the airbox, silicone, and MAF housing eliminate the abrupt edges that cause turbulence and inefficiencies in the intake system,

Increased flow is always the key to enhancing the performance of your engine. The 27WON CAI takes in cool air from the fender well, filters it through a high flow non-oiled filter media, and through the seamless silicone and billet MAF for a system that’s designed to work together for the best performance.

Over 4+ years and 35K+ miles of daily driven use.

27Won support has been excellent in handling any questions, or issues I've had with this hybrid CAI.

Pros:
- Subtle growl on throttle and a little pssshhh on lift-off.
- Attractive design
- Detailed installation instructions
- Permanent filter is cost effective (I keep 2 on hand to facilitate instant swap and to allow the dirty filter time to dry after cleaning)

Cons:
- Filter barely fits into air box, so significant flex/torque is required on the air box to squeeze in the filter
- Filter has tendency to pop off velocity stack during installation, or after time if clamp is not tightened enough, but over-tighten and risk crushing the velocity stack.
- Air box cover bolts can back-out over time and require monitoring
Awesome addition to my 21 hatch cvt. Enjoy the performance and knowing my engine is breathing allot better. Install was pretty easy with the great digital instructions provided. Thanks guys!
Had this on my 10th gen si and i loved it beautiful styling sounded better than stock also
First off I’d just like to say this intake is amazing! Install is a breeze. The hardest part is just getting under the car and getting the plastic push pins out. Everything fits exactly how it should and looks great. Now to the part everyone else wants to know, yes you can definitely hear it. Especially getting into boost. Even at just one or two psi you can tell it’s there.
Installed this intake with 27Won's turbo inlet pipe on a 10th gen Civic hatchback CVT. Customer service is wonderful, items were packaged with care, color instructions were detailed, and these "aftermarket" parts take a gigantic poop on Honda's CAI and TIP. Not only does the car sound a lot better, but you can actually feel the difference when you accelerate. These healthy upgrades will also provide you better fuel efficiency and who doesn't like more MPGs? Quality matters and that's what 27Won delivers.
First and formost, this is a well designed and good looking intake. Second, if you've got the CVT, like I do, be aware that the install is slightly different. There is some piping and a what looks like a small oil cooler on the side of your transmission that will seem like it gets in the way of the bottom of the intake going where it's designed to go. Have patience, keep turning it, and putting pressure on it to go down. It will feel like you're going to bend or scratch it a little and you probably will. It's ok though and worth the effort. Just keep a flashlight pointed down there to see what the holdup is and you'll be able to move past that.
As for the performance and mpg differences, you'll get those too. My mpg has always been 25-30 around town with minor highway driving and 32-35 at 75mph with around 90% highway driving. I have some heavy 19s and +1 for tires on my civic so my mileage and speed are always low and off from my gps. My 75mph mileage stays around 38-40 now and my around town is 28-32. Definitely helped there, the stock intake is extremely constrictive. My butt dyno is telling me that there's freed up hp too. It doesn't fall on it's face now when I stick to the throttle.
After the install I pulled the two cables off my ECU in the engine bay and let it sit for a few minutes before reconnecting it. If you're not seeing any gains, try that and drive it relaxed. Let the ECU relearn your driving style and then after 30 minutes or so try out it's new curve. I think you'll agree with me that you've picked up some mpg and some ponies.
It was a fun experience to install it with my coworker KD. Without a doubt worth the money to spend on for a first mod. An you can hear and feel the difference thank you 27won
I really didn't want an open-air short ram, and had some concerns with other cold-air filter locations, given the weather in my area. The 27won intake fit my purpose and requirements perfectly! I had previously installed a PRL stage 1 kit (better filter and hose out of intake box); and the sound difference is definitely noticeable and impressive, in my opinion. IATs are much better, as well.
Installation was a breeze, thanks to the awesome instructions and a plethora of youtube videos that show some shortcuts from the already streamlined installation process.
Can't recommend this intake enough!
Great quality was put in to this intake. Only thing better than the quality of 27won is the customer service. Extremely professional and super friendly and helpful. Btw install was a breeze with amazing instructions. Thank you 27won team.
Very good quality and the customer experience is also very good, quick response to all your questions thumbs up to vlad.
Now about the cai itself i definitely feel a difference especially in acceleration the engine can breathe better the noise is not extreme but this is just what i was looking for.The instruction manual is very detailed i think anyone with a bit of experience can do this. Finally very satisfied with my purchase.
